Steve loves being in the big outdoors, whether on foot or on a bike. He especially loves winter landscapes when the air is clear and the scenery is transformed by a covering of snow and ice into simple and elegant forms.
“Despite all I have seen and experienced, I still get the same simple thrill out of glimpsing a tiny patch of snow in a high mountain gully and feel the same urge to climb towards it.”
I particularly enjoy photographing fellow walkers and try to capture the feeling of being in remote and dramatic scenery as well the relationship between humans and the landscape. My primary inspiration is the work of the great Italian photographer Vittorio Sella.
